DRIVING THE FUTURE OF OPTICAL CONNECTIVITY
As AI applications drive explosive growth in datacentre bandwidth demand, industry is looking for new innovative technology and products to address communication capacity needs. Core to this is the need for high density, low-cost, advanced packaging optical connectivity in communications and semiconductors.
Our Technology
Opsydia’s proprietary adaptive optics direct laser write waveguide technology provides the solution to industry needs.
Our adaptive optics approach delivers preconditioned optical beam profiles allowing for waveguide writing in the depth of, and to the edge of optical connectors and interposers, direct to optical device locations eliminating the need for active optical alignment and post process polishing.
Initially a spin out from Oxford University based on proprietary technology from our founding scientists Professor Martin Booth and Professor Patrick Salter, we have successfully commercialised our technology for mass market applications in demanding production environments.
We are a leading provider of commercially deployed adaptive optics laser systems, focused on addressing the photonics waveguide and device application.

Opsydia Systems
New from Opsydia, our P5000 Adaptive Optic Direct Laser Writing system allows users to write waveguides & other optical devices in optically transparent materials with extremely high resolution and precision. Using Adaptive Optics, many of the historical limitations of direct laser writing can be overcome. Our fully integrated, industrial machine capability includes optical metrology, enabling users certainty of location of written waveguides and removing the active alignment burden.
